The Premier League leaders had been frustrated by their Championship opponents during a goalless first half at Stamford Bridge, provoking manager Jose Mourinho into action at the interval.

Mourinho sent on Willian and top scorer Diego Costa at the start of the second half in place of Oscar and Andre Schurrle, and the two had the desired impact as both were involved in breaking the deadlock just before the hour mark.

Costa cut in from the left and passed to Loic Remy, who in turn found Willian and the Brazilian curled a sublime shot into the net from just outside the area.

With the breakthrough made, Chelsea struck a quickfire double blow in the final 20 minutes to put the result beyond doubt.

Remy volleyed in a second after Costa's shot had been blocked, and Kurt Zouma headed home a pinpoint cross from Cesar Azpilicueta.

It was a welcome victory for Chelsea, who had been stunned 5-3 by London rivals Tottenham in the league on New Year's Day, while Watford - managed by former Chelsea man Slavisa Jokanovic - will now focus their attentions on their promotion challenge.

Following a busy festive period of four league matches in 11 days, Mourinho made eight changes with only Gary Cahill, Azpilicueta and Oscar keeping their place from the defeat to Spurs.

Watford, meanwhile, showed three alterations from their 4-2 win at Cardiff City with leading scorer Troy Deeney among those to return.

Cahill diverted Schurrle's free-kick over the crossbar in the seventh minute, while the visitors' first sight of goal came when Daniel Tozser fired straight at Petr Cech from distance shortly afterwards.

The Chelsea goalkeeper was similarly comfortable in holding Deeney's drive in the 27th minute, and Cech's opposite number Jonathan Bond was tested for the first time when he had to react smartly to keep out Didier Drogba's header from Remy's delivery.

Cahill went close for a second time when he headed Filipe Luis' corner narrowly wide just before half-time.

At the other end, Fernando Forestieri saw a shot deflected over and Odion Ighalo fired wide of the target in stoppage time.

Watford made a bright start to the second half and went close to opening the scoring in the 55th minute when Deeney's low cross took a deflection off Filipe Luis and was diverted behind by the sharp reflexes of Cech.

Chelsea responded as Bond kept out Drogba with his legs and soon afterwards the home side were ahead.

Costa and Remy combined to set up Willian, who got the ball out of his feet before curling a fine finish into the top-right corner from 20 yards.

Remy then took advantage of a deflated Watford by thumping a 70th-minute volley high into the net, before Zouma rounded off the scoring with a powerful header two minutes later.

Watford had conceded 13 goals without reply on their previous three visits to Stamford Bridge, and in the end this meeting proved a similarly one-sided affair as Mourinho's side cruised into the fourth round.

HTC Desire Eye: For selfie junkies only

Your cell phone selfies look terrible. It's actual and you know it. It's not your deficiency, its your smartphone's.

Very nearly all cell phones have a low-res front-confronting cam with 1 to 2-megapixels. It's ludicrous how little they've enhanced contrasted with how extraordinary the cams on the posterior have gotten.

The HTC Desire Eye sees your telephone's grainy selfies and raises you its 13-megapixel selfies. HTC says now is the right time for great telephone selfies that don't bargain on determination.

Regardless of the mid-level Desire marking and $149.99 (with two-year contract) value, the Desire Eye really packs amazing fittings including a sharp 5.2-inch (1,920 x 1,080 determination) show, a 2.3ghz quad-center Snapdragon 801 processor, 2gb of RAM, and 16gb of interior stockpiling which can be stretched up to 128gb with a microsd card.

Dissimilar to on different telephones, Android 4.4.4 "Kitkat" with HTC's own Sense 6 UI and the Blinkfeed news aggregator are lightweight and simple on the eyes. I didn't find HTC's own particular programming customizations to hinder Android, which is extraordinary.

The capable equipment and smooth programming works out to a telephone that thunders constantly; it even runs 3d diversions like Dead Trigger 2 truly well.

Plastic telephone done right

Plastic cell phones get a considerable measure unfavorable criticism nowadays. We all need a gadget with the premium and extravagance feels; something that shouts take a gander at my spectacular telephone.

The Desire Eye is not one or the other unstable or creaky. Its white and red two-tone configuration is eye-getting among dark and silver gadgets. Since HTC utilized an infusion formed "zero crevice" outline, there are no splits or creases where the two colored plastics meet.

The totally fixed off configuration additionally fills an alternate need: The Desire Eye is Ipx7 dustproof and water-safe, which is convenient for when you need to utilize it by the pool, in the bathtub or completely need to content in the downpour.

Lovely as the Desire Eye seems to be, it isn't great. It's taller and thicker than most telephones in its class on account of the enormous sounding cam and LED blaze on the top, and the front-confronting Boomsound stereo speakers astutely masked in the show's bezel. (I wager you didn't even see the speakers, did you?) The bigger measurements make the Desire Eye harder to grasp solidly and use with one hand. The side catches — force, volume, and cam screen — are additionally mushier and oblige additional energy to enroll presses.

More keen selfies, however just scarcely

The Desire Eye's primary offering point isn't its smooth outline or great execution, yet its twin 13-megapixel cams.

HTC says the times of needing to pick between your telephone's high-res back cam and low-res front-cam for selfies are over. Both cams provide for you the same high-determination photographs and same double LED blaze.

Not one or the other cam is a "Ultrapixel" cam — the kind you can discover on HTC's lead One (M8) — so low-light execution is on the crappier side (all the more on that later). Outside, both cams perform about the same with face discovery and self-adjust working quickly.

I perceived shades turned out undersaturated (i.e. reds looked more like pinks) and confronts had a tendency to be hotter toned. This isn't something that torment just the Desire Eye; huge amounts of Android cell phone cams experience the ill effects of either undersaturated or oversaturated color disorder.

Selfies taken outside are without a doubt more keen with the Desire Eye. Subtle elements like the pores all over and the blocks on a building out of sight that would regularly be a blurry wreckage when broadened are clearer, yet not by much. Pictures still have a great deal of picture clamor when zoomed in.

The additional knock up in clarity is extraordinarily welcome and significantly more evident when you take a gander at selfies on a machine screen, yet the enormous inquiry is: Does anybody truly mind?

As much as I need to say we do, we most likely don't. A great many people take a gander at selfies on their telephone on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. Also more often than not, selfies are trimmed and separated to the point where determination doesn't even make a difference.

I like my computerized photographs to be fresh, however trust me when I let you know that no one truly needs to impart selfies where each wrinkle is obvious in high determination. I know I was super reluctant to.

Getting prettied up is simple

The Desire's "Eye Experience" cam programming is slightly like those Japanese photograph stalls that let you mutilate your face to look more like kawaii anime characters.

You can change the typical white adjust, introduction, and live channel modes, but on the other hand there's a "Live Makeup" slider, which gives you a chance to build and diminishing the measure of skin smoothing you need connected to your face. It's an entertaining gimmick and, correct, your face will look digitally embellished, however at any rate those unattractive excellence imprints and pimples won't be obvious.

Additional diverting are the face impacts that can be connected to selfies post-shot. Think Photoshop for tenderfoots, just everything is balanced with a straightforward slider. Did your face turn out looking somewhat fat due to the point? That is fixable with some brisk altering.

You can utilize the "Face Contour" slider to thin your face (and continue thinning it again and again until you're upbeat), make your eyes greater with the "Eye Enhancer," or even expel glossy reflections from your cheeks and temple.

Each one of those alters and some funkier ones like joining your face with another person's and lighting up your composition could be possible inside seconds. The key, on the other hand, is to utilize them as a part of balance. You would prefer not to go over the edge until you really look cartoonish. (Unless that is the thing that you need, then by all methods go insane.)

Yucky low-light selfies

Indeed with the Desire Eye's 13-megapixel front cam and its going hand in hand with double LED glimmer, low-light selfies are divertingly terrible. Examine yourself:

As should be obvious, the Desire Eye's low-light selfies really look more terrible than the selfies brought with my iphone 6, which has a 1.2-megapixel front-confronting cam.

Anyhow shouldn't we think about utilizing that double LED glimmer you got up there? Won't that offer assistance? Sort of.

Americans still prefer landlines at work

During a period when no less than one-third of American family units have dropped landlines through and through, old fashioned telephones are still "critical" to Americans at work. That is as indicated by another study from the Pew Research Center that investigates state of mind to engineering in the work environment.

Seat discovered email far exceeded telephone innovation of any sort in significance, as per more than 1,000 American laborers overviewed. Almost 60% of individuals surveyed called email "vital" at work, contrasted and the 35% who depicted landlines as "essential," and 24% who said Pdas or cell phones were "critical." About 54% of those overviewed called the Internet "imperative," while only 4% called social distributed destinations like Facebook "imperative" at work.

Obviously, everything relies on upon what you accomplish as a profession. Office laborers (68%) were significantly more probable than non-office specialists (26%) to call the Internet "vital." (And, for what its justified regardless of, just around 7% of those overviewed said the Internet has made them less gainful at work.) Gender assumes a part, as well. Men were almost twice as likely as ladies to call cell phones "critical" in doing their occupations.

Anyway simply in light of the fact that an innovation is utilized doesn't mean individuals like it. Despite the fact that landlines stay imperative to more than one-third of those reviewed, a lot of laborers lean toward instant messages to telephone discussions.
