Ford wanted to do something big for the opening of his latest business unit, the Middle East and Africa division. The idea was simple: send a team of six engineers Dearborn in Dubai with a yellow Mustang in tow. Upon arrival, they headed to the base of Burj Khalifa, currently the tallest building in the world. After separating carefully the car into six sections, the pieces were transferred to the 112th floor using the elevator of the building. About 12 hours later, the Mustang was reassembled.The PR event was quite a big deal for Ford's executive chairman, Bill Ford, to attend. Ford's regional headquarters is located in Dubai and the plan is soon to launch the Focus, Fusion, Lincoln MKC, and of course the Mustang, the Middle East and Africa. Mustang V8 in the Middle East. Not at all ironic.
