2016 Cadillac ATS-V Sedan and Coupe are Hungry and Want to Eat Them Some M3 and M4

Last week we got a glimpse of the new 2016 Cadillac ATS-V Coupe. Today, alongside its sedan counterpart ATS-V, is the official unveiling at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Set on sale next spring, the ATS-V coupe and sedan are powered by a twin-turbo 3.6-liter V6 rated at 455 horsepower and 445 lb-ft of torque. Cadillac is quick to point this engine is the highest-output six-cylinder segment. 0-60 mph happens in 3.9 seconds and a top speed exceeding 185 mph.

Sending all that power to the rear wheels is a six-speed manual transmission with Active Rev match or eight-speed automatic with optional paddle shift and launch control. Other features include Brembo high performance, third-generation Magnetic Ride Control, Performance Traction Management, increased structural rigidity of 25 percent for better cornering, driving modes selectable by the driver (tourism, sport and track), and a support force generating aero package option follow. For the record, the ventilation hood (hood is made of carbon fiber) and other new exterior elements are functional and not just for show.
That discharge not only sucks hot air from the engine compartment, but helps to reduce lift at speed by channeling the air drawn through the radiator and out the top of the car. The front and rear fascias also offer aerodynamic optimum performance. Even the mesh on the grille is enlarged to allow more air into the radiator. It also includes a front splitter, wider fenders, aluminum wheels 18 inches, and a rear spoiler. The interior features Recaro front seats of performance, and a group of three display of 5.7-inch device that includes Bluetooth connectivity and OnStar 4G LTE System window. Official price has not been announced, but we can not imagine the ATS-V sedan and coupe will cost more than their competitors M3 and M4.
