A brace from Paul Pogba inspired Juventus to a 3-0 win over Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday night.
Massimiliano Allegri's side have now restored their three point lead over AS Roma, while Lazio missed the chance to move up to third.
The opening 20 minutes proved to be a dull affair with both side failing to create clear cut chances.
However, the visitors took the lead in the 24th minute as Carlos Tevez picked out Pogba, who showed good skill before side-footing past Marchetti.
Keita Baldé Diao should have leveled matters in the 39th minute but the Lazio forward blasted over the crossbar from 10-yards out.
Allegri's men came out to second half the hungrier of the two sides and eventually doubled their lead in the 55th minute courtesy of a well-take finish from Tevez.
Juve added a third in the 64th minute, as some good build up play between Roberto Pereyra and Pogba ended up with the Frenchman slotting in at Marchetti's near post.
The defending champions were then reduced to 10 men in the 70th minute, after defender Simone Padoin was shown his second yellow card of the game.
Felipe Andersen came close to pulling one back for Lazio in the 85th minute, the Brazilian did well to evade two Juve defenders before firing at Gianluigi Buffon, who managed to palm the effort away.
